Saku Chitose appears to lead an enviable high school life. Extraordinarily charismatic, tremendously confident, and effortlessly friendly, he is the kind of person others naturally look up to. At the start of his second year, Saku's homeroom teacher asks him to help bring back a classmate who has stopped attending school. The world's everyday life relies on the assistance of Sapotamas, but the force of Tomorou's e-Pulse often causes glitches in them. Although Tomorou struggles to trust these strangers, he decides to join them, as he realizes that saving his brother may not be achievable on his own.
